Kiwanis Club of Southwest Omaha is part of the Kiwanis International Organization, which is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child at a time.

2025-2026 Annual Banquet
On September 24, 2026, the Kiwanis Club of Southwest Omaha held their annual banquet and award ceremony. Diana Wagner was installed as the new president. Many thanks to Wendell Hockens for being a great president in 2025-2026. Andy Bradley installed new officers and board members. We recognized two members with 25 years of Kiwanis membership, Britt Campbell and Rebecca Flint.

Recent Club Projects
Our club supports the community in many ways. Recently, we have been hard at work with the following service projects.
Mental Health Grant for Rockwell
Through Kiwanis International, our club recently was awarded a grant to help support students at Rockwell Elementary. Rockwell has a goal to help all teachers provide a Calming Corners in their classroom. These areas will include a soft cushion, books, fidgets, calming tools and more. With the help of Rockwell School Connect Community and the grant, we were able to provide the above supplies for each classroom.
Celebrate Education
Our club recently supported the Open Door Mission and Lydia House at their "Celebrate Education" picnic. Participating members included: John Krajicek, John Miller, Diana Wagner, Jed Johnston, and Wendell Hockens.
Rockwell Student Council Celebration
Club members grilled hotdogs and provided chips and desert for students serving on the Rockwell Student Council. What a fun end-of-year celebration!

2026-2027Club President
President Diana Wagner has been a member of Kiwanis since 2000 , when she joined in Fremont, Nebraska. She transferred to the Club of Southwest Omaha in 2022. While in Fremont she served as President, President-Elect, and advisor to K-Kids, Key Club and Circle K. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Southwest Omaha she has been just as active, serving as the advisor to K-Kids, co-chairman of the Hope Totes project, one of the School Champions for Rockwell Elementary School, President-Elect, and now President. In 2023-2024 Diana was Kiwanian of the year for the Kiwanis Club of Southwest Omaha.
